About the role
The Operations Manager is a vital, hands-on leadership role, central to ensuring the smooth running of Easton Community Children's Centre. As a key part of our management team, the role combines practical problem-solving and building management with team leadership. Working closely with our Co-Director of Operations, you will ensure the building, people and systems all work together to support excellent care and education at the Centre. You will line manage and help develop operational staff, oversee facilities and contractors, lead on health and safety and operational compliance, and ensure organisational systems and processes function reliably. Your work will directly enable our team to safely and confidently focus on running an excellent nursery, putting the needs of children and families first. We will ensure you develop a great understanding of how to support our teams, and in turn our children and their families and carers.Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for a reliable team player, who can keep things running smoothly and can lead by example. Your experience in operational roles in other organisations will have developed your eye for detail, problem solving skills, and understanding of good processes. You are adaptable, and comfortable moving from leadership and planning to practical and administrative tasks with the same positive attitude. You’re a people person with experience managing a team, overseeing building management, and running HR processes We’re looking for someone who can uphold our inclusive culture, and set high standards across the organisation. We have a dedicated and diverse team and supporting them to thrive will be part of this job. If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you! You’ll be working closely with our Co-Director of Operations (Henri) and our experienced Office Manager (Naomi). There’s scope to focus your duties to focus on your interests and where you can add the most to our team. You don’t need to have worked in Early Years or in a charity or non-profit organisation before, but you’ll be excited by the opportunity to make a practical difference to the lives of children and families in our community. We are looking for two motivated and energetic Level 3 qualified Early Years Practitioner one for our Under 3's room, and one for our Under 4's room. We would consider 32 or 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Thursday or Monday to Friday (finishing at 1.30pm).
We aren't just any nursery, we're an independent charity in the heart of Easton committed to quality child-centred early education. Our children love the centre for its huge garden which inspires risky and messy play of all kinds. Attached to our excellent outdoor provision we have a studio offering woodwork, clay and other medias as well as an allotment.

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Room Leader to join the ECCC family to help lead our Sunshine room with 2-3year olds! This role is 37.5 hours per week with a 1.30pm finish on Fridays. We particularly welcome applications from underrepresented groups and those which reflect our local community.

Collaboratively with our current 2-3s Senior Senior Room Lead, you will encourage and motivate a team of staff, drawing on their skills and interests to maintain the best possible learning opportunities and environments available to our children.
