Funded Hours – September 2025
We accept Government Funding alongside Tax Free Childcare for children aged 9 months to 5 years at our nursery. Funding can be used for our morning and afternoon sessions (but not for the morning or evening wraparound hours).
The reality is that sadly the government funding is not enough to cover the real costs of providing good quality care and education. We don’t make any profit – our charges only reflect the real cost of high quality education, care and nutrition. All our income is put back into our charitable work: supporting the children and families of Easton.
Additional Charges – September 2025
We have an additional charge, currently £14.30, for each funded session (per 4 hours / half day). If you are paying with Tax Free Childcare the effective cost is £11.44 (or £2.68 per hour). This charge is already calculated to be included in the cost of private sessions.
- The cost of all meals and snacks provided
- Access to additional resources like wellies, raincoats, suncream, etc.
- It enables us to operate with a higher number of staff in some rooms than is legally required
- It enables us to organise activities and trips that go beyond the EYFS
- We aim to recruit higher qualified/more experienced staff.
Please be aware that as a charity, operating on a very tight margins, we must prioritise families who agree to pay this voluntary contribution.
Our additional charges and consumables policy has been developed in collaboration with Bristol City Council. We are currently producing a new policy on fees and funding, which we will share with families soon.
We’ll be happy to answer any questions you have about fees and funding as part of our admissions process.
